In Part 8, Shoghi Effendi continues his extraordinarily masterful work of building the Administrative Order of the Faith of Bahá’u’lláh, while navigating crises born of internal and external opposition. He translates the Kitáb-i-Iqán, publishes two compilations of his letters, Bahá’í Administration and the World Order of Bahá’u’lláh. There is Queen Marie’s missed visit to Haifa, and in 1929, Shoghi Effendi sails to Cape Town and crosses the continent of Africa! The most important event in this part is his renovation of the Mansion of Bahjí and the very moving visit of the Greatest Holy Leaf to her Father Bahá’u’lláh’s last residence after 40 years, during which the Covenant-breakers had stolen it from the Bahá’ís.
