The Guardian Part 20: The International Bahá’í Archives (1956-1957)

Part 20 covers the construction and completion of the Bahá’í International Archives Building, the very first building on the Arc we know and love, now home to the Seat of the Universal House of Justice, the Seat of the International Teaching Center and the Center for the Study of the Texts. But Part 20 is also the home of my favorite of all pilgrimage stories, the story of Charles Dunning, Knight of Bahá’u’lláh to the Orkney Islands, as well as the Institution of the Hands of the Cause and the progress of Phases 2 and 3 of the Ten Year Crusade, and the final cleansing of Bahjí from 4 decades of Covenant-breaker occupations.

This is the last full year of the Guardian’s life.

Next week, Part 21, is our last session with the Guardian, and we will be delving into the painful story of the passing of our beloved Shoghi Effendi.
