Part 17 covers a single year in the life of the Guardian, but a momentous one. It is 1953, one hundred years since Bahá’u’lláh first stepped foot in Iraq, the land of His first banishment, and it is the year that would see the biggest, mot ambitious, most extraordinary gatherings in Bahá’í history: the four intercontinental teaching conferences in Africa, North America, Europe, and Asia.

This is that story.

But it is also the story of Amelia Collins and the Collins Gate, the story of Ella Bailey, the story of Curtis Kelsey’s last pilgrimage to the presence of the Guardian, and the love of the Guardian for the Bahá’ís, pioneers, indigenous people, and even prisoners.
