The Bible Explored: The Torah, Genesis to Deuteronomy #6

“The Holy Bible: Torah, Genesis to Deuteronomy” to be presented by Eileen Maddocks and
Peter is a totally new course on the first five books of the Bible from a Baha’i-inspired
perspective. There are thousands of books and courses dedicated to explaining Judaism-
inspired and Christianity-inspired perspectives on the Bible, whose value the leaders of this
course acknowledge. This course will be unique because rather than repeating the insights of
Jews and Christians, it will share the insights of Baha’is. As Baha’u’llah wrote, “Know assuredly
that just as thou firmly believest that the Word of God, exalted be His glory, endureth forever,
thou must, likewise, believe with undoubting faith that its meaning can never be exhausted.”
(Gleanings, LXXXIX)

The Torah, also called the Pentateuch in Latin, is comprised of the first five books of The Holy
Bible –Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.
