Dr Boris Handal is a Professor of Education at the University of Notre Dame Australia. He is the author of Mírzá Mihdí, The Purest Branch; Varqá and Rúḥu’lláh; Eve Nicklin, She of the Brave Heart; The Khamsis, a Cradle of True Gold; A Trilogy of Consecration; El Concurso en Lo Alto and Muḥammad Profeta de Dios. His most recent book Quddús: The First in Rank will be published in 2024. Dr Handal has written over one hundred articles, books and reports in the field of education.

Sunday, July 21, 2024 (11 AM EDT): The Heavenly Treasury of the Báb
The third presentation will highlight examples from the Báb’s Writings on ethical and mystical concepts, including individual and community exhortations and prohibitions, both social and individual. It will also include moral precepts, spiritual principles as well as a survey of the Writings of the Báb regarding social development and the new Badí‘ calendar. This second presentation will also address the importance of nurturing a devotional life as well as the context around popular Bábí prayers and invocations that are still in use in the Bahá’í community.
He Whom Shall Make Manifest

The fourth presentation will elaborate on the continuity between the teachings of the Báb and the teachings of Bahá’u’lláh from a doctrinal and legislative perspective, with emphasis on the Figure of Him Whom God shall make manifest. It will include and elaboration on the conditions in which He Whom God shall make manifest (Bahá’u’lláh) would appear after the death of the Báb.
The Bábí and Bahá'í Revelations
Sunday, August 4, 2024 (11 AM EDT): The Bábí and Bahá’í Revelations
The close associations between the Bábí and Bahá’í laws and their continuity will be presented. It will also present the main laws of previous religions in the context of the teachings of the Báb. Furthermore, this presentation will analysis past religious laws confirmed, modified or abrogated by the Báb, and also of Bábí laws abrogated or amended by Bahá’u’lláh.
