Graduated with LLB (hons) in Uni Western Australia in the mid 60s. Practiced law briefly as a solicitor before moving to Darwin in 1974 as a public lawyer. First member of the new NT Dept of Law on grant of NT Self-Government. First NT Crown Solicitor. Later NT Senior Crown Counsel with NT Department of Justice and signed the Bar roll. Legal adviser to the various NT Legislative Assembly Committees on Constitutional Development. LLM (UQ). Also former Adjunct Professor in Law to NTU (now CDU). Retired from Department in 1998, practised as a barrister at law, lecturer in law, recently retired. Former proprietor of Hidden Words Bookshop Kuranda to end 2019. Widely published. Phd awarded at CDU 2019.
